Basic Assessment Test
Once you have decided to join our Spanish online program, you are ready to take your assessment test. This test consists of a ten minute live interview with one of our Spanish tutors via Skype.
This interview allows us to place you in one of three levels (Basic, Intermediate or Advanced). Students are offered the option of taking their interview 15 minutes before their first lesson or anytime between process of payment and the student's first lesson.
After you have signed up, kindly send us an e-mail to let us know when you will be taking your first lesson and when you will be taking your assessment test.
Monthly Comprehensive Spanish Test
1To1Languages - DELE Test
In addition to the assessment test offered to current students, we also offer a more comprehensive Spanish test available to anyone regardless of student status. This test lasts about one hour and it has been modeled after the standard DELE test which is the official test in Spanish as a foreign language and stands for Spanish Diploma as a Foreign Language (Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera) and is the official test for Spanish as a foreign language.
Currently, we publish three tests (basic, intermediate and advanced) during the first week of every month so that our students can continuously monitor their progress.
As previously stated, anyone can take the test. But currently active students will have the additional option of taking a live interview with one of our native tutors on part 5 of the test (which mirrors the procedure of the official DELE exam). Additionally, in regards to part 2 (Spanish Essay) of the exam, tutors will evaluate students’ essays faster than non-students’ essays (usually within 24 hours). Non-students will typically have part 2 of the exam evaluated during the fourth week of each month (or earlier depending on availability).
